What is Life Coaching?
YOU know the best solution for YOUR issue, simply because you have spent a lot of time examining the issue – this is the premise I work on as a life coach. Life coaching clarifies your thinking so you identify the best solution to help you move forward. Coaching does not focus on the problem, instead, it focuses on developing solutions to move ahead. After several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise.
Why do teachers need coaches?
Teachers are leaders. Teachers are extraordinarily high functioning people who are especially prone to improper work-life balance, stress, negativity and overwhelming schedules. In the corporate world, such leaders have mandatory executive coaches assigned by their company's Human Resources department, to help them move from a fighting to survive mode, to thriving in their roles. A teachers sphere of influence is not only very wide, but it is very important too. They touch the lives of many impressionable little people every single day. These leaders need to be given the time and space, that life coaching provides, to thrive not only as leaders but also as influential individuals.
When to Hire a Life Coach?
A good time to hire a life coach is when you have a fair idea of what you would like to do, but you’re having an unusually hard time getting it done. Maybe it seems like you’re getting bogged down in obstacles instead of making steady progress.
Educators hire life coaches to help them work through professional relationships, career changes, fitness goals, time management issues, and work/life balance issues, just to name a few. Please keep in mind though that the most important factor in successful life coaching is the willingness to change. If you aren’t willing to change, a life coach can’t force you to grow. You need motivation and drive to work with a coach, and you need to have a strong desire to make the necessary changes.
